GREER CARLAND, TASMANIAN WINEMAKER

Greer Carland is a highly accomplished Tasmanian winemaker with many years of experience, currently based in southern Tasmania.

Her winemaking expertise spans the globe, including work in North and South America, France, and three states of Australia. In addition to her personal project, Quiet Mutiny, she is the winemaker for her family’s established Tasmanian label, Laurel Bank.

From 2004 to 2016, Greer was a Senior Winemaker with Winemaking Tasmania, where she managed sparkling, white, and red table wine production. During this time, she produced a number of trophy-winning Rieslings, notably securing the Best Wine of the Challenge in 2011 and the Best Dry Riesling in 2015 at the Canberra International Riesling Challenge (CIRC).

Greer has also been recognised as a Young Gun of Wine Top 50 finalist for three consecutive years (2019, 2020, 2021).
