Finally, Quiet Mutiny. Interesting name. This is the brand of accomplished winemaker Greer Carland, who grew up on her parents’ Tasmanian vineyard and served several years as a winemaker at the contract winery, Winemaking Tasmania, where she made wine for many small Tassie growers. I liked her Charlotte’s Elusion Riesling 2021 (grapes from the family vineyard at Granton on the Derwent River) and her 2022 Charlotte’s Elusion Pinot Meunier Rosé. This was made from East Coast grapes, and shows why the pinot family grapes are well-suited to rosé: it’s fruity, berryish and very quaffable.
